Wheel of Names

Any time a group needs a fair, quick, slightly dramatic decision:

• Teachers calling on a student, or splitting a class into presentation order.
• Teams choosing who runs the retro, who takes the on-call shift, or where lunch is.
• Streamers and shop owners drawing a giveaway winner in front of an audience.
• Game nights deciding which game to play, or who goes first.
• Households sharing out chores without the usual debate.
• Anyone stuck on a to-do list who just wants the wheel to choose the first task.

Type one entry per line in the box beside the wheel, then click the wheel (or press ctrl+enter) to spin. Sounds, colors, spin length and what happens after a spin all live under Customize in the top bar.

Tick “Advanced” above the list to give entries their own colors, images and weights.

Everything below works right here in the browser, with no sign-up:

• Built-in sound design: tick, drum roll and synth loops while spinning, plus bells, applause, fanfares and spoken results afterwards — all generated live, no downloads.
• Several wheels at once: add more wheels and spin them together for multi-stage draws.
• Weights: in Advanced mode, give an entry a bigger weight to widen its slice and its odds.
• Pictures: put an image in the middle of the wheel, behind it, or on individual entries.
• Themes and colors: pick a ready-made palette or set up to six colors yourself.
• Links: share a wheel as a single URL that rebuilds it on any device.
• Saving: keep wheels in this browser or download them as files.

Nowhere. Entries, settings, saved wheels and results stay in your browser's local storage. Share links carry the wheel inside the URL, so there is no server copy to leak.

Add this page as a browser source in OBS, Streamlabs or similar. Hide the editor with the arrow next to the entries panel for a clean shot, and use a chroma-friendly page background color under Customize → Appearance if you want to key it out.

On a normal spin, the winner is drawn before the wheel starts turning, using crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's cryptographic random source, not Math.random(). The wheel then lands at a random spot inside that slice, so the animation shows the result rather than deciding it. Odds are proportional to slice size.

Seeing the same name twice in a row is normal for a fair draw: each spin is independent. If a name should only win once, press Remove in the result popup.
